Forty-eight in flight!
At last! Here we have a shot of all 48 in flight - taken by one of the RSPB monitoring volunteers - Kevin Harris at the weekend. Thanks Kevin!
The birds are still making the most of the maize stubbles in the area around Stan Moor/ Stathe / Burrowbridge, Somerset.
Here they are crusing across the landscape in front of Burrow Mump - quite a sight!
The largest resident flock of cranes in the UK.
