Want to See the cranes...? Book on a Date with Nature!

The RSPB is running six 'Dates with the cranes' - starting on Friday 20 January. These events will include: 

  • a talk about the Great Crane Project 
  • an escorted trip to a secret lookout to see the flock of approximately thirty wild cranes. Own transport essential for trip to crane lookout. 
  • soup and a hot drink 
  • a chance to see a chapter of the RSPB’s hit crane film 'Born to Fly'.

Price: £12.50 pp. £5.50 deposit required. £7 balance payable on the day (£2 donation to local hospice/£5 to the RSPB).

Location: Meet at the Willow and Wetlands Centre, Stoke Saint Gregory TA3 6HY.

Damon’s role is to act as the hub of the project - making sure everyone involved knows what is going on and that it is all running smoothly. He is also responsible for project community awareness work in Somerset, construction of the release enclosure, and running the post release monitoring work in Somerset.  Damon works alongside the RSPB reserve teams in Somerset.
